Our biggest event is the Uig Gala Day which is held on Reef Machair.

Its a fun filled day with boat rides, bouncy castles, food and drink stalls, live music, sheep races and much much more.

It is an important day in the UCCA calander as it is our main fundraiser, without this and our Tearoom our Centre would not be ale to function the way it does.

It’s a great day that brings our community together, from the setting up, to the food prep, to stall volunteers, to the clearing up.  Every year we are taken aback by just how many people turn up to lend a hand! It really does say a lot about our community.

Throughout the year the committee organise social events in the hall.  We have meal nights, where we have a sit down meal and entertainment such as a concert or dance afterwards.  We have take-away evenings, themed nights such as our 80’s Disco, music nights such as ‘Uig’s got talent’ and Ceilidh evenings and an annual Chrismas Quiz followed by a dance. All evenings have a licensed bar.

As well as our Gala and Meal and Dance nights, we have an annual Bonfire night and an annual carol singing evening is held in December.

Future events will be posted to the blog, on our Facebook page and in the Uig News.

Please see the sidebar on the right for regular activities.

Various short courses are run at the centre throughout the year relying on local interest and expertise.

In the past courses have been run on such subjects as computing, yoga, etc. New courses are generally advertised locally, in the Uig News, at the shop and in the Centre.
